“I cavalli di Monsignor Perrelli” venerdì 21 febbraio al Teatro A. Rendano

Venerdì 21 febbraio, alle ore 20.30, arriva un altro grande interprete sul palco del Teatro Rendano. Per la “Rassegna L’AltroTeatro”, il grande Peppe Barra e Patrizio Trampetti in “I cavalli di Monsignor Perrelli”.

Finanziato dalla Regione Calabria, quale evento storicizzato- sull’avviso pubblico per la selezione e finanziamento di interventi per la valorizzazione del sistema dei beni culturali, la qualificazione e il rafforzamento dell’offerta culturale- vede, inotre, il supporto dell’amministrazione comunale di Cosenza. Organizzato dalla società “L’AltroTeatro” guidata dal gruppo di operatori del mondo dello spettacolo locale: Enzo Noce, Giuseppe Citrigno e Gianluigi Fabiano. Sul palco del Teatro A. Rendano 15 appuntamenti all’insegna della grande drammaturgia senza dimenticare, però, il divertimento e il puro spettacolo. Prosa, dai grandi classici agli autori contemporanei e poi, commedie e musical, questi gli ingredienti del cartellone ideato da “L’AltroTeatro”.

“I cavalli di Monsignor Perrelli” Nelle leggende metropolitane di Napoli il personaggio di Monsignor Perrelli,vissuto nel 1700 è una delle “maschere” più ricordate. 
Le sue smemoratezze, i suoi peccati, di gola, le sue manie, le sue follie sono diventate con il passare degli anni oggetto di culto e occasioni di spettacolo. 
Più di dieci anni fa Peppe Barra e Lamberto Lambertini pensarono di riproporre la leggenda di Monsignor, inventando di sana pianta un personaggio nuovo da mettere accanto a Perrelli: un’idea banale ma che nessuno aveva avuto prima. Chi vive in simbiosi con un Monsignor, seguendolo fedelmente fino alla morte? Ma che domande! E’ la sua governante, la serva devota che Alessandro Manzoni nei “Promessi Sposi” immortalò nella serva di don Abbondio cioè in Perpetua, nome che diventò per antonomasia la fedele serva di tutti i Monsignore. Accanto a Monsignore crearono quindi Menica, la perpetua pettegola, tenera, affettuosa, vigile, brontolona, golosa come il suo padrone, plebea, nella sua sana saggezza.
 Ecco che nacque nel 1991 una coppia di maschere indimenticabili per il teatro napoletano: Perrelli (Trampetti) e Menica (Barra).
